When inconsistent water delivery began disrupting daily operations, a multi-site community health organization in California partnered with CNECT to implement a more reliable and cost-effective solution across its facilities.
The Member
Founded in 1971, this federally qualified health center (FQHC) serves more than 30,000 patients annually across the East Bay region of California. The organization operates a multi-site network across southern Alameda County, supported by mobile health services that extend access to care throughout the community.
The organization delivers integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, optometry, youth health, and wellness services, along with community health education and support programs. Its coordinated care model is designed to improve access and reduce health disparities for low-income and underserved populations.
The Challenge
The organization was experiencing ongoing issues with its bottled water delivery service, including inconsistent deliveries and product shortages that disrupted day-to-day operations. These challenges made it difficult to maintain a dependable supply across all facilities.
The Results
Through CNECT, the organization collaborated with Cintas to implement a water dispensing service to replace its bottled delivery model. The solution included 13 WaterBreak stations installed across facilities, offering hot, cold, and room-temperature options, with flexible floor and countertop configurations to accommodate different spaces. The program also included complimentary installation and ongoing service with monthly filter changes.
The transition improved reliability across locations and reduced the need for the ongoing coordination of deliveries. It also delivered approximately 23% in cost savings, supporting a more consistent and scalable approach to water service.
“We were having some issues with our water service, and CNECT helped us find a solution that works much better for us. The process was easy to manage, and the new setup has been much more reliable for our team day to day.”
