Rapid growth created new payroll, HR, and compliance challenges for Sincera Health. By working with CNECT and ADP, the organization achieved meaningful cost savings and consolidated key workforce functions.
The Member
Sincera Health is an urgent care center and family practice based in Pella, Iowa, offering walk-in care for patients of all ages throughout the surrounding region. As the only urgent care center accredited by the Urgent Care Association within a 35-mile radius, the organization is recognized for delivering high-quality, compassionate care when immediate medical attention is needed.
The organization provides treatment for a wide range of acute, non-life-threatening conditions, supported by onsite diagnostic capabilities including X-ray and laboratory services. In addition to urgent care, Sincera Health has expanded its offerings to include family medicine and primary care services, strengthening continuity of care within the community.
The Challenge
As Sincera Health continued to grow, payroll and HR processes had become increasingly time consuming and complex, creating a growing administrative burden and compliance challenges. The organization also experienced cash flow complexities caused by its payroll provider collecting funds a week before they were distributed.
These factors, combined with the primary need to reduce the cost of its payroll and HR service, led Sincera Health to search for a more streamlined, centralized solution that better supported day-to-day operations.
The Results
Through CNECT, Sincera Health transitioned to ADP for payroll and HR services, achieving 40% in annual cost savings compared to its previous provider.
Beyond cost savings, the organization significantly reduced the administrative workload associated with payroll and compliance management, freeing up internal resources to focus on core operational priorities.
Sincera Health further improved workforce coordination through ADP’s marketplace partner, Connecteam. The platform simplified scheduling and time tracking, enabling employees to clock in and out, manage shift changes in real time, and communicate more effectively all through one mobile application.
In addition, adopting a pay-by-pay workers’ compensation model improved financial predictability and cash flow management by eliminating upfront premium payments, reducing overall premiums by 46%, and aligning costs directly with payroll cycles, reducing administrative complexity and establishing a more consistent payment structure.
ADP’s payroll funding structure also improved cash flow timing by reducing the gap between payroll funding and distribution. With ADP, funds are not pulled until the day before payroll is distributed, helping create a more aligned and predictable funding process.
